چکیده

We present a method for reducing cosmological data to constraints on the amplitudes of modes of the dark energy density as a function of redshift. The modes are chosen so that 1) one of them has constant density and 2) the others are non-zero only if there is time-variation in the dark energy density and 3) the amplitude errors for the time-varying modes are uncorrelated with each other. We apply our method to various combinations of three-year WMAP data (Spergel et al., 2006), baryon acoustic oscillation data (Eisenstein et al., 2005), the Riess et al. (2004) ’Gold’ supernova data set, and the Supernova Legacy Survey data set (Astier et al., 2005). We find no significant evidence for a time-varying dark energy density or for non-zero mean curvature. Although by some measure the limits on four of the timevarying mode amplitudes are quite tight, they are consistent with the expectation that the dark energy density does not vary on time scales shorter than a Hubble time. Since we do not expect detectable time variation in these modes, our results should be viewed as a systematic error test which the data have passed. We discuss a procedure to identify modes with maximal signal-to-noise ratio. Subject headings: cosmology: theory – cosmology: observation

Formation of Large Structures in the Acceleration Universe with a Hybrid Expansion Law

In the current paper, we have studied the effect of dark energy on for-mation where dark energy exists in the background. For this purpose, we used both WMAP9 and Planck data to study how the radius changes with redshift in these mod-els. We used different data sets to fix the cosmological parameters to obtain a solution for a spherical region under collapse. The mechanism of structure formation f...

Third Order Density Perturbation and One-loop Power Spectrum in a Dark Energy Dominated Universe

We investigate the third-order density perturbation and the one-loop correction to the linear power spectrum in the dark energy cosmological model. Our main interest is to understand the dark energy effect on the baryon acoustic oscillation in quasi-nonlinear regime (k ≈ 0.1h/Mpc). Analytical solutions and simple fitting formulae are presented for the dark energy model with the general time var...

Relic Abundance of Mass-Varying Cold Dark Matter Particles

In models of coupled dark energy and dark matter the mass of the dark matter particle depends on the cosmological evolution of the dark energy field. In this note we exemplify in a simple model the effects of this mass variation on the relic abundance of cold dark matter. We still do not know the origin and composition of the cold dark matter (CDM) in the universe. Recent precision measurements...

Constraints on dark energy from baryon acoustic peak and galaxy cluster gas mass measurements

We use baryon acoustic peak measurements by Eisenstein et al. (2005) and Percival et al. (2007a), together with the WMAP measurement of the apparent acoustic horizon angle, and galaxy cluster gas mass fraction measurements of Allen et al. (2008), to constrain a slowly rolling scalar field dark energy model, φCDM, in which dark energy’s energy density changes in time. We also compare our φCDM re...
